Who are We?

Stephen Murphy

Stephen Murphy has over 30 years of experience in international organizations. He spent 20 years at Procter & Gamble, followed by roles at Coca-Cola Inchcape Bottlers, Reckitt Benckiser, and PZ Cussons. He has held senior positions in sales, marketing, and general management. His professional experience includes work in the United Kingdom, Greece, Morocco, Tunisia, Yemen, Russia, and Poland.

He holds the Master Certified Coach (MCC) credential from the International Coaching Federation (ICF). He is accredited at the Master Practitioner level by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC) for both Team Coaching (ITCA) and Individual Coaching/Mentoring (EIA). He also holds EMCC accreditation as a Coach/Mentor Supervisor (ESIA).

Who are We?

Iwona Murphy

Iwona Murphy has over 22 years of managerial experience in Public Affairs and Corporate Communications. She has worked for the Polish Government, Philip Morris, McCann-Erickson Worldgroup and Citigroup, managing individuals and teams of marketing, communications, branding, government affairs and CSR experts. 

Iwona is a founding member of LiderShe, a Polish Professional Women’s networking organisation, promoting diversity and corporate change, providing support to women in their professional development and career choices. She has received the Silver Cross of Merit, from the President of Poland, for displaying outstanding services towards the community. She has been a board member of EMCC Poland. She currently coaches and mentors internationally and in Poland, in Polish and English.

Iwona  is accredited at Senior Practitioner level by the EMCC for Individual Coaching/ Mentoring (EIA).

While we have limited control over what happens to us, we can choose how we think and react. This is what resilience is all about. Resilience is also about moving forward because stressful times can be great growth opportunities.

A resilient person can bounce back from stress and effectively deal with challenges. With practice, stressful times can help us become stronger and teach us how to deal with similar situations in the future. This means that the most resilient people have had enough opportunities to “practice” with challenges.

Mental toughness refers to the ability to persist and remain resilient in the face of challenges and setbacks. It's a combination of emotional resilience, confidence, adaptability, and self-awareness  that allows individuals to maintain focus and determination, even when faced with pressure or difficulty.

Psychological Safety and Contracting

Psychological Safety — a critical condition for effective collaboration, learning, and innovation — is heavily influenced by the behaviours of leaders at all levels. Leaders set the tone for interpersonal trust and openness. When they model behaviours such as respectful dialogue, openness to challenge, transparent decision-making, and consistent support for employee development, psychological safety grows. Conversely, behaviours that create ambiguity, fear of reprisal or exclusion, undermine it.

To support the development of a psychologically safe culture, the Senior Leadership Team can define a clear Psychological Contract that articulates the leadership behaviours expected and valued. This Psychological Contract serves as both a guide for their own leadership practice within their team and also a basis for accountability outside their team. Aim is to ensure that leaders are aligned with organisational values and consistently reinforce an environment of trust and safety.

  • PPI® is based on the Situational Influence Model™ (SIM™), which was developed by leading human development experts and has been the reference model for many leadership influence programs.
  • PPI® training allows participants to explore lateral and upward, as well as downward influence situations. For example, in a work situation how to influence customers, stakeholders, peers, direct reports, and managers. Or outside of work, how to influence family, community, friends, and others.
